chelsea,

After a report in Wednesdays Daily Star claiming that it would cost Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic a world record £37.5 million in compensation should he decide to sack Blues manager Jose Mourinho, it has us wondering if that is not the plan the Portuguese manager has been plotting given his clubs poor star to the season.

Mourinho currently earns a staggering £10 million per-year year, and having seen how Russian billionaire Abramovich deals with manager when his team is not winning, as was the case with Brazilian flop Luiz Felipe Scolari, who netted a cool £12.6 million when fired, and Andre Villas-Boas £12 million, when he was told to go it makes us wonder if this was not part of Mourinho’s game plan when he said following the 3-1 loss to Southampton that the club would have to sack him if they wanted him to leave.

Chelsea has too good a team to be struggling as they are at present, and having seen how the club owner reacts when things are not going so well Mourinho may just get what he has been secretly aiming for all along.
