Tahith Chong has confirmed that he will play at Manchester United next season.

The Feyenoord starlet who is still 16, has played as a playmaker and chief creator for Feynoord’s U-17 side for two seasons now, impressing United ‘s scouts in a Premier Cup tournament held in Old Trafford recently. The player’s hallmark quality is his top notch dribbling ability creating something from nothing.

Having once scored 11 goals for his country’s U-17, the Dutch man made it known that he feels he will be more suited to the fast paced Premier League than other leagues. The left-footed attacking midfielder had this to say to Elf Voetball, “Feyenoord had no plan for me, but When I said I wanted to leave, they (Feyenoord) made a plan. That was too late. At Manchester United I had a better feeling. You can feel it immediately when you walk in a club”.

Manchester United may have been able to lure the Dutch midfielder mostly because of coach Luis Van Gaal’s philosophy of allowing multiple youngsters prove themselves on the big stage as the likes of Cameron Borthwich – Jackson, Marcus Rashford and Timothy Fosu-Mensah all playing for the the club’s senior team this season.

The player was also linked with a move to Chelsea and Liverpool but it appears the Red devils have finally the winners for the signature of the high rated youngster.
