Because of Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have a strong chance of getting high quality players from the Bundesliga. Such is the influence of Liverpool’s German manager Jurgen Klopp that many now agree Liverpool’s chance of attracting the best of the best from the Bundesliga is very strong. The former Dortmund manager is well respected among German players and it is no surprise that Liverpool have already been linked to many players from the German league.

Mario Gotze is one player who has in the last two weeks been constantly linked to a move to Anfield. The former Dortmund player was one of the key players under Jurgen Klopp when both were still at Dortmund. Gotze is said to be unhappy at Bayern Munich and will consider a move to England in the summer with Liverpool the forerunners for his signature due mainly to the presence of Jurgen Klopp.

Another Dortmund player linked to the club lately is Dortmund’s Armenian international midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. According to various reports, Klopp sees the Dortmund star as a key summer target. However, newer reports claim the player may be off to Arsenal rather than to Liverpool.

A report by the daily SUN newspaper claims Mkhitaryan has sent his relatives to London to shop for a house for him having already told them he has made up his mind to sign for Arsenal rather than Liverpool and Juventus who have both been linked to his signature.

According to the report by the SUN, the player is currently earning £6.4m-a-year but wants an increase that will see him get as much as £8m-a-year which according to the SUN, Arsene Wenger is ready to match as the Gunners have constantly scouted him in the last few months.

Although nothing is concrete at the moment and the report from the SUN could well be wrong, but it won’t be a surprise if Liverpool loses out on signing the Armenian. The Gunners are definitely more attractive than Liverpool and the lure of champions league football may just pute the tide in Arsenal’s favour.
