After having missed nearly all of last season through injury, Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta looks to be out for the pre-season tour at least, after having picked up a calf-injury.
The former Everton star who has not played for Arsenal since last November now has a new setback to worry about, with the club not putting a timetable on the Spaniard’s return.
This new setback comes just weeks after the 33-year-old signed a new one year extension at the club, and with plenty of time still remaining in the transfer window may get Wenger thinking about a defensive midfielder once more.
