Martin Jol has warned it will take a hefty offer to convince Fulham to part with Moussa Dembele.

Hands off my Moose: Jol warns Dembele chasers that he'll not go cheap

Dembele was outstanding as spirited Fulham pushed United all the way at Old Trafford.

United and Spurs have been linked with the £15million-rated midfielder but Jol said there was no way Fulham would let Dembele go on the cheap ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.

“Dembele is playing and he likes the club so there’s no problem,” said Jol.

“You have to pay a lot of money to get Dembele, so there won’t be a lot of clubs putting that sort of money on the table. So I think we are fine.”

Of greater concern to Jol is the continued saga surrounding Clint Dempsey, the club’s top scorer last term.

Dempsey was left out for the second game running having been fined for refusing to play after having his head turned by Liverpool.

“It’s a bad situation,” said Jol. “There were a few inquiries but no bids and we haven’t actually said what he should cost.”
