According to German sports daily ‘Bild’, Carles Planchart is set to serve as Josep Guardiola’s assistant coach at Bayern Munich next season. The coach is alleged to have informed Barcelona earlier this week that he would be leaving the Catalan capital in order to move to the Bavarian club, alongside Domenec Torrent. The pair previously worked under Pep in the capacity of opposition scouts, a role they have continue to perform under Tito Vilanova this season. Though their departure was only made official this week, it is believed that they were pencilled in to join Guardiola as soon as he agreed to take up his new job.

However, the latest development is that rather than continue in his current position, analysing upcoming opponents, Planchart will instead act as Guardiola’s right-hand man during his new adventure in Germany.
