Manchester United has been given the green light to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira in a deal that will see the German international on wages of £200,000 per-week.

The 28-year-olds contract at the Santiago Bernabeu is up in the summer and has both Arsenal and Chelsea interested in signing him, but reports say he has been offered to Manchester United and that he will sign for the Northwest club if they meet his massive wage demands.

The German World Cup winner can afford to demand a higher salary as United will not be paying a transfer fee for him and with manager Louis van Gaal also a huge fan it would appear as if United has found the midfield enforcer they have been looking for.
