According to reports in Bild, Manchester United has offered Bayern Munich defender Bastian Schweinsteiger £136,000 per-week if he decides to leave the Bundesliga champions for Old Trafford.
Bayern Munich is believed to be open to the idea of selling the 30-year-old World-Cup winner to the Red Devils for £10 million, but have insisted that it is up to Schweinsteiger as to whether or not he wants to move given his strong ties to the club.
Meanwhile Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal sees the German as a vital part of the team he wants to put together in order to win the Premiership next season.
