Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has told Chelsea that he wants to be paid £318,000 per-week if he agrees to move to Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League champions have made a £73 million bid for the 22-year-old midfield genius and are competing with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for the youngster’s signature.
According to a source inside Chelsea the Blues are continuing to work on a deal, with the only stumbling block being money.
Meanwhile yesterday while being interviewed Blues boss Jose Mourinho hinted that the club was closing in on a deal, but refused to say whether or not it was Pogba.
“Hopefully I have one in,” he said. “Hopefully. But we are not in trouble. We are not desperate. We are not panicking because the transfer window closes in a couple of days.
“If we get him, we get him. If not, we don’t. But for a perfect shape of the squad, one more player would give us a good balance.”
