French Ligue 1 star striker Alexandre Lacazette could be on his way to the Premier League this summer after opening the door on a possible move to either Liverpool or Arsenal.

The Lyon frontman was the subject of a £21.5 million bid from Newcastle United during the January transfer window, but is not interested in joining a team he feels cannot compete for trophies.

So far this season the 24-year-old has bagged 15 goals in 34 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, but it was his 27 goals in 33 appearances the season before that put him on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs including the Premier League duo.

‘A departure? Yes, I think the Premier League is a very attractive for a player,’ Lacazette told Le10Sport.

‘But I know that to go, I have to play well this season. So I’m very focused and perhaps after that, I will leave.

‘I know it’s possible to go in the Premier League and Lyon is also aware.’
