Modric, Real Madrid, MAN United,

Manchester United former goalkeeper Mark Bosnich thinks the club should do everything possible to sign Real Madrid’s Luka Modric.

United have seen all their bids for a new midfielder get turned down, with Bosnich pointing out that the Croatian international had an indifferent season in La Liga and after Real Madrid having spent big on Gareth Bale the Spanish giants might be willing to let Modric leave in an attempt to recuperate some of their money.

“A creative midfield player has been a priority for Manchester United for some time,” Bosnich said.

“If Gareth Bale does go to Real Madrid, then they’ll have to get rid of some players to help balance the books.

“I would go all-out for Luka Modric if I was Man United. He’s a wonderful creative player, he’s played in the Premier League before and he’s just the player they need, especially in those Champions League games.

“Those are the games when you do need a number 10, a deep lying passer, the sort of player who can unlock the tightest of defences in the final third.”
