Arsenal, Barcelona

According to TalkSport both Liverpool and Arsenal could once again resume their interest in Barcelona forward Isaac Cuenca as his days at that Nou Camp appear to be numbered.

What once looked like an exciting career for the 22-year-old winger has come unstuck due to a succession of knee injuries the most recent of which occurred last March while on loan at Ajax that required him to undergo surgery in June.

Cuenca has been back to full training since last October but is yet to make an appearance in Tata Martino’s side and appears as if he could very well be on his way out of the club this month.

“He is training,” Barca coach Tata Martino said. “We will see if he stays here or gets the chance to play elsewhere.”

Meanwhile Barcelona mouthpiece SPORT is claiming that the 22-year-old will be allowed to leave at the end of the season.

The question is would it be worth a gamble to sign a player who has the quality, yet is known to be prone to injury.
