Kenny Sansom the second most capped England full-back has been found living rough after alcoholism took over his life.

After falling on hard times the formal Arsenal player has admitted that he has been sleeping on a bench in the park.

It seems as though the veteran of two world cups has been struggling for some time after collapsing on the street and being rushed to hospital back in March.

“I’ve been living homeless for 10 days,” he told The Sun.

“That’s because I’ve got no money, I’m a drunk, I’m feeling not very well and I’m a gambler.

“I’ve been living on the street. It’s not good living on the bench.”

The report in the Sun claims that the 54-year-old Sansom consumes up to seven bottles of rosé wine per-day and had disappeared from his sister’s house where he had been staying last Tuesday.

Alcoholism amongst ex-footballers seems to be a problem with Paul Gascoigne, Tony Adams and Paul Merson all coming out to discuss their dependency problems.
