Former Gunner Carlos Vela says that he has learned from his mistakes and that he is now ready to return to the Emirates and play for Arsenal according to Sky Sports.

Vela joined Basque side Real Sociedad in 2012 after a successful loan spell and has since gone on to score 30-goals in all competitions attracting interest from the Gunners who would be able to buy him back for the £4 million Real paid thanks to a release clause in his contract.

When speaking about the possibility of returning to London the 25-year-old Mexican said:

“If I have to return, I will do things in a different way.”

“What happened in the past will not be repeated.”

Vela will not be joining his Mexican countryman for this summer’s World Cup thanks to a dispute with his country’s football governing body, but he hope all parties can come to an agreement soon.

“We will try and reach an agreement in which we all win – Real, Arsenal and me. We must see what can be done,” he said.

“We will decide what will be my future, it is all about finding the best way to be happy.”
