In what would be an absolutely brilliant signing for the Hammers, the agent for Roma striker Mattia Destro is in London to finalise a deal with West ham despite the 24-year-old earlier being linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal.
Destro spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan and has now been told he has no future at the Stadio Olympico, so has set his sights on a move to the English Premiership.
Initially West Ham will probably take him on loan with an option to buy next summer if all works out well for both parties.
This could be the last chance for the Italian to prove himself in the top-flight and will hopefully work out well for West Ham.
