Former French international Mathieu Flamini looks set to leave the Emirates should the Daily Express be correct in claiming that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender to replace the 31-year-old.
Bender was reportedly the subject of Arsenal scouts interest last week with them on hand to watch Leverkusen’s Champions League play-off clash with Serie A side Lazio.
According to the Express Arsenal is prepared to pay the Bundesliga side £18 million for the German international.
