With Louis Van Gaal likely to leave Manchester United this summer and likely to be replaced by former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. According to various reports, Mourinho has verbally agreed to sign for the Red devils and the deal will be made official at the end of the current season.

Should Mourinho take over from LVG, he will reportedly be given a big warchest to sign the type of players he believes will help him succeed as Manchester United’s maanger. The Red devils have been linked to various players but according to sources close to ESPN, Mourinho is targetting five players.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one interesting transfer. He is likely to be available this summer as his contract expires in June and he doesn’t seem like he will be signing another deal with PSG which means any club can sign him without paying a transfer fee. Manchester United have been keenly linked to the player but reports claim he will not join Manchester United unless Louis Van Gaal is sacked. Thing is, both Ibra and LVG don’t see face to face and it is unlikely that has changed. In Ibra’s biograph, he took a swipe at Louis Van Gaal which shows he probably won’t want to play under the Dutchman. The player has reportedly told Jose Mourinho he will like to play under him again having both worked together at Inter Milan.

James Rodriguez is another player who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford. The Colombian has fallen the pecking order at Real Madrid and reportedly will seek to leave this summer. Mourinho also wants AS Roma’s Kostas Manolas but that depends on if he can sign John Stones or not.
