Sir Alex Ferguson insists Manchester United will be quiet on deadline day – but he could let some of his kids leave Old Trafford on loan in the coming days.

Fergie insists there will be no deadline day signings at United

United have had a busy summer, with Shinji Kagawa and Robin Van Persie the headline arrivals at Old Trafford, while Fergie has also landed promising trio Nick Powell, Angelo Henriquez and Alexander Buttner.

His Premier League rivals may be scrambling around for late deals but Ferguson says business is over at United – although he could send youngsters out the exit door when the loan window opens.

“There will not be any more business,” Ferguson said. “There’s no need to loan. We can do that seven days after the deadline”
