Fellaini deal in Jeopardy as Everton fail to find replacement

New out of Portugal is that Roberto Martinez made a wasted trip trying to sort out a work permit for Porto’s Brazilian midfielder Fernando after the 26-year-old posted on Instagram, that he wants to remain at Porto in order to help them win the Portuguese title.

Everton are also on the brink of pulling out of what yesterday seemed a done deal for Republic of Ireland international James McCarthy after Wigan told Everton boss Martinez that they wanted #15 million for the 22-year-old.

Everton have said all along that they would not sell Fellaini if they failed to find an adequate replacement meaning that Manchester United may have to help the Toffee’s solve this dilemma if they wish to sign Fellaini before 11 pm tonight.
