SOME people just can’t control themselves in the presence of footballing god Lionel Messi.
A besotted fan ran on the pitch in last night’s clash between Sweden and Argentina to plant a KISS on the Barcelona superstar’s forehead.
The supporter was led away by stewards while Messi — who was impressively calm throughout — proceeded to rub the smacker off with his shirt.
It clearly had an effect on the little genius as for once he FAILED to score.
Argentina ran out 3-2 winners thanks to strikes from Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain and Michael Lustig’s own goal.
To be fair, Messi still played a blinder and arguably should have netted when his lob over keeper Andreas Isaksson appeared to cross the line.
But his blunted display should serve as a warning to all fans who want to see Messi continue his hot-streak:
Look but don’t touch. And definitely don’t kiss!
