Rodgers, Lukaku, Chelsea, Liverpool,

Dietmar Hamann has said that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers should seriously consider making a bid for Chelsea’s Belgium international Romelu Lukaku.

The Chelsea striker spent last season on loan at West Brom where he netted 17 goals for the Baggies yet this season is yet to feature in Jose Mourinho’s side.

With the future of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez still not settled Hamann thinks that Rodgers should go after the Chelsea front man.

Mourinho did not even play a striker during his side scoreless draw with United Monday night at Old Trafford making Hamann believe that the Portuguese manager may be willing to let Lukaku leave the Bridge.

“No centre forward for Chelsea and JM [Jose Mourinho] wants to bring another one in,” Hamann wrote on Twitter.

“He obviously doesn’t fancy any of the 3 he got. Get Lukaku to LFC Brendan.”
