Everton is furious with Chelsea in the way they are conducting what the Toffee’s are calling an underhanded campaign to lure England defender John Stones to Stamford Bridge.

Firstly they do not like the way Chelsea is using his England teammate Gary Cahill to try and get him to put in a transfer request after the Blues defender said Stones will find it “very difficult” to turn down a move to Stamford Bridge.

Everton suspect that Cahill’s comments are all part of a strategy Jose Mourinho has in place to lure the 21-year-old to London, after already rejecting a £20 million offer, while at the same time saying Stones was not for sale.

Meanwhile it now appears that Blues boss Mourinho has made the former Barnsley player his number one summer target and is according to rumours ready to pay as much as £32 million to sign him.
