Burnley and England striker Danny Ings is reportedly ready to reject a summer move to Anfield and move to Old Trafford instead.

The 22-year-old is out of contract with the Lancashire club in the summer, and has been approached by both Liverpool and Real Sociedad’s David Moyes with it being assumed by all that he would be signing for Brendan Rodgers team in the summer.

Now however the Daily Star says Manchester United has entered the race and that Ings is prepared to snub the Reds and sign for United instead.

United scouts have been impressed by Ings, and even though Burnley will get £6 million in compensation it is a small price to pay given Ings ability and his young age.
