Emmanuel Adebayor says Arsenal cannot lose more players

The 27-year-old has fond memories from his time at the club, and still keeps in touch with his friends.
When talking about Arsenals current situation Adebayor had this to say: “I swear to you there’s no joy for me in seeing Arsenal like this.
“Just because I play for Spurs now doesn’t mean I want to see them struggle.
“I don’t. I have a lot of good memories and good friends still at the club but I’m sorry to say the problems are there for all to see and in my opinion there’s a simple explanation for it.
“Every year they are losing great players like an Ashley Cole, Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas or a Samir Nasri. So every year they desperately try to replace these guys.
“But it is not easy to find another Thierry Henry or Cesc Fabregas as even Arsene Wenger has found out. So that’s the problem.
“Because all top players are the same — they want to win things and when they know that’s impossible they will look to leave. That’s football… ” he went on to say: “When I left Arsenal to join City it was because I believed they were better equipped to win trophies. They spent money and showed genuine ambition.
“What’s happened? Last year they won the FA Cup and qualified for the Champions League. Now this year they are in with a great chance of winning the Premier League.
“It is amazing — they have invested in players, in the team and it is working.”
The Togo International scored 46 goals for the gunners before being sold to Man City for £25 million in the summer of 2009, and is now on loan to Arsenals North London rivals Spurs.
