manchester united,

Louis van Gaal will have a big smile on his face this morning, and it will not be just because his club Manchester United has qualified for the group stage of the Champions League, but because he watched lone striker Wayne Rooney get his mojo back last night scoring a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Club Brugge in Belgium.

Despite the rebirth of the England captain, Manchester United would still like to sign another striker before the transfer window closes on Tuesday night, and the Dutch newspaper De Teelgraaf,, who have a good reputation when reporting Manchester United news say that manager Louis van Gaal has 100 million euros available to sign a top striker.

Yesterday however van Gaal played down the need for a striker claiming he was prepared to play Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini as an attacker, and given United’s recent failings in the market with De Gea, Ramos and more recently Pedro, it seems hard to picture any big name player arriving before next Tuesday, so unless there is a deal underway that no one is aware of its hard to imagine van Gaal getting a top striker in before Tuesday despite the club having the money available.
