After just one disappointing season in the Premiership, it would appear as if Manchester United winger Di Maria was jumping ship after having agreed personal terms to join French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old Argentinian joined United last summer in a British record £59.7 million transfer from Real Madrid, but failed to settle in to life in the Premiership, while also facing a botched burglary attempt over the Christmas holidays that cause his wife to want to move away from England.
Despite his lack of form and the off field distraction, United boss Louis van Gaal was keen that has record signing should at least put one more season in at Old Trafford, but that appears not to be happening now with Di Maria apparently destined to move to Ligue 1.
No fee had been agreed upon by the two clubs, but it is widely expected that Manchester United will have to take a substantial loss on what the paid to Real Madrid.
