DEAL ON! Perez gives Star Defender the GREEN LIGHT to join Manchester United

According to respected Spanish journalist Pablo Garcia Cuervo, Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has been given the green light to join Manchester United after club president Florentino Perez changed his mind about trying to keep the 29-year-old at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The World Cup winning defender has on several occasions expressed his desire to be able to join the Red Devils, but has been prevented from doing so by Madrid hoping that by offering Ramos the club captaincy it would convince him to want to say.

Do not forget Ramos did not grow up a supporter of Madrid, but of Sevilla a club he first played for, and one his family still support today, so there is no eternal bond between him and Los Blanco’s.

‘Sergio has made his mind up. Florentino also wants Sergio to leave, but Real Madrid want it to seem like Sergio is the one who wants to leave because he isn’t very ‘madridista’,’ Cuervo told radio Marca.

‘If Florentino Pérez wanted to keep Casillas, he hid it very well. The same is happening with Ramos.’

Meanwhile Ramos’s arrival at Old Trafford could very well precede David De Gea’s departure in the other direction with both transfers seeming depending on each other.

Ramos’ arrival at Old Trafford would likely precede David De Gea’s departure Madrid, with the pair’s futures dependent on each other.
