Arsenal have in the last few weeks been linked with the signing of one high rated striker to the other and it appears it is just a matter of when and not if the Gunners will be buying a striker this summer. One of the numerous names that has been linked with a move to Arsenal is Juventus star Simeone Zaza. According to reports, Zaza is frustrated with the lack of regular playing time with the first team at Juventus and will seek to leave the Old Lady this summer.
This situation Wenger knows of and is ready to take advantage and make a move for Zaza who has scored Seven times for Juventus in 18 matches so far this season. Juventus are said to be ready to sell the Italy international if they receive an offer of at least £24m for the player.
Cavani, Morata, Lewandowski, Lukaku among others have all been linked with a move to Arsenal and should Arsenal end up signing Simeone Zaza, Arsenal fans are surely going to be very disappointed. This is not saying Zaza is a very bad player but let’s be honest, if he can’t get into Juventus’ team then he can’t be a player that Arsenal needs. A mere look at his stats show he is not a player of Arsenal’s quality. If Arsenal must sign a player from Juventus, that player should be either Morata or Dybala.
It will be senseless to pay £24m for Zaza when they can easily sign Morata for about £30 million or Cavani for same amount. The only reason why I see Arsenal signing Zaza for £24m is the fact that he is less likely to demand the big wage package that other Arsenal targets in the same position will demand.
Hopefully Wenger knows Arsenal fans have lost patient, they will not accept the signing of another cheap low quality striker. Arsenal already have that in Giroud and Walcott and there is still Sanogo on the Club’s books.
