Real Madrid has been told that Manchester United goalkeeper David DE Gea will not be sold for less than £35 million even if it means him seeing out his contract at Old Trafford.

Spanish sports daily AS claimed yesterday that Manchester United had lowered their asking price, but the truth is United will hold out until they get their goalkeeper world-record £35 million fee.

Real Madrid meanwhile are some £10 million short of what the Red Devils want, and unless one side is willing to compromise the Mexican standoff seems set to continue.
