According to reports Spanish international goalkeeper David GE Gea has set the wheels in motion for his move to Madrid telling Manchester United that he has decided to return home.

Despite no deal being in place between the two clubs the 24-year-old has already said goodbye to his Manchester United teammates and is now according to Goal pushing for a move.

Manchester United knows they can keep De Gea for another season, but it makes more sense to sell him now rather than see him walk away from Old Trafford for nothing next summer.

Real Madrid is for their part eager to get a deal done as soon as possible, and steal the limelight from Barcelona as the Catalan giants bask in the success of their treble winning season.

Expect more news on the situation tomorrow following De Gea’s agents Jorge Mendes’s meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
