Want away Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been left out of tonight’s squad for their Premiership match against Aston Villa.

The Spanish international also missed last weekend’s season opener against Tottenham after United manager Louis van Gaal claimed that the 24-year-old was not in the right frame of mind to play.

Yesterday Dutchman van Gaal admitted that De Gea this time turned down the chance to be in nets for the Red Devils.

“We’ve talked with him, he was fully agreed with our decision,” said Van Gaal.

“We have a goalkeeping coach, Frans Hoek, I’m not doing everything alone.

“Frans Hoek he has a meeting with David De Gea and he asks him ‘Do you want to play?’

Asked what De Gee’s answer was, Van Gaal said: “No.”

Meanwhile negotiations continue over a transfer to Real Madrid, but with the Spanish giants unwilling to meet United’s £35 million valuation, knowing that they can sign De Gea next summer for free it’s hard to imagine what the outcome will be as currently it looks like the Spanish international is not willing to play again until he is able to join Real Madrid.
