Real Madrid’s Luka Modric has told his Croatian teammates that he could soon be playing for Manchester United according to the Croatian news portal Jutarnji.hr
Modric is rumoured to have told an unnamed teammate: “If the clubs agree, I am ready to come to Manchester United.”
Jutarnji are claiming that United would have to pay Madrid 30€ million to get Madrid to let him go.
This storey has some merit, but looks to have been wishful thinking on the part of Modric now that after Xabi Alonso picked up a long-term injury after fracturing a metatarsal in training earlier in the week.
Manchester United fans have been expecting a move by Moyes for Modric after the Red Devils failed to sign either Thiago Alcantara or Cesc Fabregas.
My money is still on Fellaini but we will have to wait and see what happens there as I am sure other clubs are playing their cards close to their chest.
