Manchester United target Cristiano Ronaldo already has a plan in place to force his way out of Real Madrid next summer, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

The now 30-year-old Portuguese international left Old Trafford for Spain in an £80 million deal back in 2009, and it is no secret that over the past two seasons the Red Devils have tried to lure the immensely popular player back to the Theatre of Dreams as a Marquee new signing for manager Louis van Gaal.

And now after what Balague claims will be Ronaldo’s last season in Madrid, it could be the perfect opportunity for Manchester United to make their move.

‘He can physically play until he’s 40 but there’s a strategy in place from his people,’ Balague told Sky Sports.

‘It looks like this could be the last season of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid and it looks as though Real Madrid aren’t completely unhappy that this is the case.

‘This sounds amazing when you look at the records he’s gained – probably the best goal scorer in their history.

‘Be it this summer or next summer, I don’t think he will be at Real Madrid that long.’
