In another move that signals the return of Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United, the clubs Ecuadorian winger Antonio Valencia has ditched the #7 shirt in favour of #25 for the new season.

The #25 shirt was the jersey he first wore at United after being signed from Wigan in 2009 for £16 million before switching to the number that was made famous by Eric Cantona, David Beckham and of course Cristiano Ronaldo.

United along with sponsors Nike and Chevrolet have been putting together a deal to bring Ronaldo back to United where Nike want him in their jersey, and the American car company want him as a global ambassador before next summer’s World Cup.

Is this yet another sign that a certain Portuguese forward could be on his way back to England?
