Since arriving at the club on Wednesday following a £29 million transfer from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim Brazilian attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino has been talking about why he decided to move to Liverpool when other clubs were interested including Manchester United.
“As a football fan, I’ve been watching the Premier League for a while now,” Firmino said.
“Liverpool was my choice because of its history and its team, and also because Coutinho told me some great things about the club.
“I hope I can bring joy to the people playing for this club.”
