There has been talk for some weeks now of former Manchester United star Nemanja Vidic moving back to Old Trafford after a disastrous spell in the Italian Serie A while playing for Inter Milan.
The Serbian defender made a host of mistakes in recent weeks and has now been dropped from the team by new manager Roberto Mancini, that has the Daily Star saying that United boss Louis van Gaal is ready to rescue the 33-year-old from his Italian nightmare.
Another rumour is that Vidic has been placed on Inter Milan’s transfer list with the Italians eager to get the high-paid defender off their wage bill.
This all sounds too good to be true for Manchester United fans who in recent weeks despite the team winning have seen some hairy moments in defence something a returning Vidic could help shore up.
