Former Bulgarian international and now football pundit Hristo Stoichkov believes that Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at Real Madrid is coming to a close, and that club president Florentino Perez is a savvy business man who knows that this summer might be his best bet at getting big money for the Portuguese winger.

“Sooner or later, Cristiano will be sold by his president,” said the former Barcelona striker. “The world of football is like that, but it depends on his president. I don’t know if he is short of money. If he is, it’s a good moment to sell him.”

Ronaldo seems to be having a dip in form following his recent 30th birthday , failing to live up to his normal high standard since winning Ballon d’Or in January, and with constant speculation linking him to his former club not going away, is it possible he maybe on his way back to Old Trafford in the summer?

The one man who might have an answer to that question is his former boss Sir Alex Ferguson who just last week was spotted in Madrid having dinner with the player he brought to United from Sporting Lisbon back in 2003.
