Chicharito, Manchester United

Mexican national team boss Miguel Herrera is claiming that Javier Hernandez is frustrated with his lack of playing time under Manchester United manager David Moyes.

The 25-year-old who plays under his nickname of “Chicharito” has only featured 16 times for United this season making just four starts with the rest coming off the bench.

The Mexican international has been linked with a host of clubs during the last transfer window with his agent claiming that he turned down a number of offers.

Hernandez still has two years remaining on his contract, but Herrera says he is not happy with his situation at Old Trafford after speaking with him recently. “He seemed well but he is a bit frustrated because he doesn’t play despite training well and the truth is that when he does play, he makes a huge effort on the pitch,” he told Raza Deportiva.

“He is a bit frustrated because the current manager doesn’t give him many chances, but he is committed and doing what he can to become a starter.

“He likes to work and likes to show determination to achieve his goal.”
