Blues chief executive Ron Gourlay says that Chelsea still have two more players that they would like to sign before the transfer window closes.
The west London club have been busier than most clubs this summer after already signing Andre Schurrle, Marco van Ginkel, Willian and Samuel Eto’o.
‘We have always said we are always looking to strengthen, but it’s all about the right players being available at the right time,’ said Gourlay.
‘We are always looking to strengthen the team and there could be one, maybe two, but we are looking at a couple maybe going out on loan to continue their development as we have a fairly big squad.
‘I would expect maybe a little bit of activity in the next couple of days before the window closes.’
Reports are coming in that Chelsea have signed Christian Atsu, and that they are interested in Sporting Lisbon’s Eric Dier and Atletico Madrid’s Miranda.
