Chelsea have moved a step closer to signing Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado after having found a buyer for Andre Schurrle with the Blues eager to push on and perhaps have Cuadrado registered in time to face Manchester City on Saturday.

MailOnline Sport in what they are calling an exclusive has said that a deal is now much closer after £60 million changed hands in the last 24 hours.

Chelsea has told both Bundesliga sides Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund that they want £30 million for the German international and while Blues boss Jose Mourinho is not a huge fan of Schurrle he understands that with the German World Cup winner wanting to return home he has plenty of value in the market.

Chelsea meanwhile have said that they are in no rush to sell, but the money they receive for Schurrle can be used instantly to pay Fiorentina their £26.8 buyout clause for Cuadrado.
