According to reports coming out of Spain carried by the Daily Star, Chelsea is going to try and snatch 22-year-old Spanish midfielder Koke right from under the noses of Manchester City and Barcelona.
Chelsea is looking to use their close relationship with the Las Liga club after having signed Diego Costa and Filipe Luis during the summer after hearing just last weekend that Manchester City were in talks with the colchoneros over the Spanish international.
Just last summer Koke was heavily linked with Barcelona or a move to Old Trafford before the player came out and said:
“We must thank the interest of Barcelona and other teams, but I’m happy because I want to be here, I’ve been here all my life and it was not time to go.
“The club is growing, we are growing as players – why I would go at the best time of Atletico Madrid?”
