Chelsea has been actively following the progress of 17-year-old Corinthians forward Malcom Silva with an eye to bring him to Europe despite reports previously linking him to Manchester United and Arsenal.

There are also reports that a deal has been done with Barcelona giving the Catalan giants first option on the teenager.

Chelsea however according to the Daily Star Chelsea remain a front runner with Blues boss Jose Mourinho hoping that the clubs growing contingent of Brazilian player’s that include Filipe Luis, Oscar, Ramires and Willian will tempt him to move to Stamford Bridge.

Corinthians meanwhile would love for Silva to stay with them, but know that should the £20 million price tag they have put on the young stars head be matched in January they would be forced to let him leave.
