Chelsea striker Diego Costa has said that if the Blues can sign Turkish attacking midfielder it would be “fantastic” to play with him once more.

Costa and Turan were teammates at Atletico Madrid before the Brazilian born Spanish striker moved to Chelsea, and when asked about a reunion by Turkish daily Bugun Costa said: “It would be fantastic.”

“Arda makes everything so much easier out on the pitch. Arda, Filipe [Luis] and I function perfectly.

“And Arda is such a great person. He invited us to eat at his house many times; I really liked his kebab. The whole team would go round to his house for dinner.”

Meanwhile Manchester United is believed to have tabled a bid of £29 million for the 28-year-old, but Turan is thought to favour a move to Chelsea and link up with former Atletico teammates Costa, Luis, Radamel Falcao and Thibaut Courtois.
