On-loan Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is according to reports stalling on signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge which is raising questions as to where the Egyptian thinks his future lies.

The 22-year-old joined the Blues from Swiss side FC Basel last summer for £11 million and made only three appearances in the Premier League before being sent on loan to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina as part of the deal that saw Colombian international Juan Cuadrado move to Stamford Bridge.

Since moving to Florence Salah has been a sensation scoring seven goals in just 12 matches leading to talk that Fiorentina may like to make his loan a permanent deal by offering Chelsea £18 million for him.

When recently talking about his future Salah said: ‘Chelsea gave me the opportunity to reach that level. I still have one month to make a decision about my future.

‘I’m enjoying being here and my objective is to reach the Europa League final.’
