Chelsea set to make Argentinian striker their first January signing


 

According to reports Chelsea has agreed to sign Boca Juniors striker Jonathan Calleri.

The 22-year-old striker has been in fine form for the Buenos Aires based team this season scoring 21 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions for the Argentine Primera División club.

With Radamel Falcao’s loan from Monaco expected to come to an end in January and neither Diego Costa or Loic Remy finding the back of the net, Blues boss Jose Mourinho is expected to sign a new striker once the winter transfer window opens.

French newspaper L’Equipe say’s it will come in the form of the Argentinian striker Jonathan Calleri after a £6.2 million transfer fee was agreed between the South American side and the west London club.
