Spanish website Fichajes.net are today claiming that Chelsea is prepared to offer Real Madrid 45€ million for German international Sami Khedira.
Khedira has been missing from the real Madrid team for most of the season due to injury, but is now once more available for selection after having resumed training with Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
Fichajes, however is suggesting that the Germans long-term absence has cost him his standing in the team and that with Xabi Alonso and Luka Modric having locked down starting berths in midfield that there might not be a place for Khedira, and are speculating that he is considering his future and the possibility of being reunited with former manager Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
With the 27-year-olds contract set to expire in 2015 a move to west London could appeal to all parties concerned.
