There is plenty of talk doing the rounds right now suggesting that Real Madrid have set their sights on Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard, and that given his current situation at Stamford Bridge with manager Jose Mourinho, the 24-year-old Belgium international is looking set to make a summer move to the Spanish capital.

Adding to this rumour is the fact that Blues boss Mourinho is said to be lining up a club record bid for Manchester United and Arsenal target Antoine Griezmann, and that Spanish football news outlet Fichajes claim Mourinho sees the Frenchman as the ideal replacement for Eden Hazard.

Following Hazard’s dismal star to the season Chelsea will probably only be able to get £40 million from the Spanish giants for the Belgium international, with reports suggesting that Mourinho will use that money and more if needed to bring the Atletico Madrid forward to London.

Chelsea’s record signing remains the £50 million they paid to Liverpool for Fernando Torres back in 2011, and should they exceed that amount they can only pray Griezmann turns out to be a better investment than the Spaniard was.
