According to top French football journalist Nicolas Vilas, Chelsea’s billionaire Russian owner will hire Monaco trainer Leonardo Jardim if he decided to cut ties with current Blues manager Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese managers future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain with many predicting a decision may have already been made to fire the 52-year-old and that if not next weekend’s clash against Stoke City will be the decider after Chelsea’s worst ever start to a Premiership season losing six out of their first 11 matches.

Names linked to take over at Stamford Bridge include Diego Simeone, Fabio Capello and Gus Hiddink, but insists that it is the 41-year-old Venezuelan-born coach that Roman Abramovich wants even if it means having to pay Monaco £7.1 million in compensation in order to get him to move to London.
