Chelsea are linked with a surprise move for Barcelona stalwart Arda Turan if reports circulating England are to be trusted.

Following the planned overhaul of the squad likely to happen at the Stamford bridge, the media are banking on such rumour, milking it for all it’s worth.

This time, Arda Turan is reported to be a target of Antonio Conte who is to take charge of Chelsea next season. It is reported that the Player is unhappy with the fringe handed to him and will be happy to leave the Spanish club.

Having joined them in the summer of 2015 from Atletico Madrid, the then 28-year-old never got to play competitively due to the ban slapped on Barcelona because of some shady transfer dealing with Neymar’s camp.

He only got his taste of first team action against Espanyol this January but, not until the likes of Pedro and Ivan Ratikic had cemented their spot in the midfield. With the game time now few and far between, Chelsea are reportedly set to snatch him away.

The caveat to this is that Catalans are reluctant to sell him, according to the reports, as they are looking to see if he can break into the first eleven.

Chelsea will have to cough out over €34 million for the player, about the same amount Barca paid for his services from Atletico.
