Chelsea makes a £34 million bid for England Defender

Never mind the rhetoric coming from Everton manager Roberto Martinez when he says Toffee’s defender John Stones is not for sale. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho also knows that every player has his price and that a club with limited resources such as Everton would find it hard to say no to a lucrative offer.

The Blues have already had a £20 million bid turned down by Everton for the 21-year-old England international, but Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is determined to get his man with the Daily Express suggesting Chelsea is about to make a British record transfer fee for a defender of £34 million.

The Blues already have a plan in place with Stones set to play 30 matches next season with Mourinho confident that his latest bid will be enough to make Everton change their mind and allow the young centre-back to move to Stamford Bridge.
